Rusovce
National Cultural Monument: Roman Fort Gerulata
We accepted the custom furniture production request for the museum with great enthusiasm, especially considering it is a museum of ancient culture from the 1st to the 4th century AD. That is truly ancient history. The Roman Fort Gerulata in Rusovce is one of the most significant archaeological sites in Slovakia, and its museum preserves and presents the rich history of this location.
The exhibition area is located on the site of the former Roman military fort on the borders of the defensive system Limes Romanus from the 2nd to the 4th century AD.
Exhibition table
One of our main products for the museum is the exhibition table, which becomes the centerpiece of the exhibition spaces. This table is over 7 meters long and is made of solid oak wood. The design of the table, as well as the entire museum reconstruction, was designed by studio Crafting Plastics..
The table top is made out of artificial stone and weighs around 700kg. With the table's base loaded to this extent, it required a static assessment. The construction of the base is made of solid oak beams with a cross-section of 8 x 8 cm, reinforced with steel elements.
Museum movables
In addition to the exhibition table, we also crafted a showcase for promotional materials, which will be used to present various documents, brochures, and historical information for museum visitors. This showcase is also made of solid oak wood, visually aligning with the aesthetics of the table. The showcase is equipped with safety glass panels to protect valuable materials.
Another piece of furniture that we crafted is the reception desk. Located at the entrance, it serves as a point where visitors can quickly get information and assistance.
